Indianas Brinton Marvel in just his 7th 410 sprint car race would finish 4th followed by Keith Fellner. The battle for third place began to heat up as Meyer caught and repassed Reinke for the position with Balog still closing the gap from the fifth spot.
Jim Moughan would finish 4th and Kris Spitz rounded out the top 5. On lap 14 Madsen shot past Meyer who had been temporarily boxed in behind some lapped traffic to grab second.
B main action saw Wayne Modjeski drive from 5th to the lead and pick up the win. Balog by now had powered his was into the fifth spot behind Reinke.
Thiel would use lapped traffic to sneak past the Grandstand Video machine of Vandervere but it would not last long and Matty V was able to put a slider on Thiel and regain the lead. The incident negated a possible podium finish for Meyer who had been running a solid race. Neitzel had a cushion of six lapped cars between himself, and Madsen was the race resumed.
Thiel would continue to follow Vandervere through traffic but could never find a way back around him. Neitzel, with clear track ahead, built a huge lead while second was hotly contested between Madsen, Balog and Reinke who were also clearing lapped cars in effort to reach Neitzel.
Meyer would hold the lead for much of the race but in the closing laps Thiel would muscle past the black and white 85m of Steve Meyer and pick up the win. A pair of Scotts finished out the top 5 with Biertzer ahead of Uttech. When the 24 car A-main accepted starter Jim Barrs green flag Neitzel shot into the lead with Meyer in two.
Heat 2 saw a pair of 10s start on the front row as Brandon Mc Mullen and Vandervere brought the field to green. The two battled for the top spot for the first two laps before Neitzel gained the advantage and began to pull away from his rivals.
Thiel started the night out strong setting quicktime in Osborn and Son Trucking Qualifying. Madsen finished four car lengths behind Neitzel at the wire, and spent the final two turns having to hold off the challenges of Balog who had come from deep in the field.
The gladiator Ben Schmidt would time in 2nd over Illinois drivers Jim Moughan and Jake Blackhurst. After a slow start to the night Balog clawed his way toward the front of the pack but was unable to capitalize on three late race restarts ultimately finishing third.
