There are a few examples in the hosts file to show you what to do.
You can usually find the hosts file at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc - but make sure you don't add an extension to the file when you save it.
On the Weather Display menu select: You can change other options, but it's probably a good idea to get the default configuration working and modify the options afterwards.
If you don't already have Weather Display's FTP set up to upload to your website, or want to put the in a different location complete the items in the large circle at the bottom of the page.
Incorporated GMT offset into date calculations (thanks to tcbusch, who analyzed and developed the gmt offset logic).01/01/2009 - Minor update: * Adjusted hourly data fix for 2009.
The gap has increased by 366 days.10/13/2008 - Minor update: * Fixed a bug in the "hourly data fix" script that prevented WP from using hourly forecast data as current conditions data expired.
You may want to change your instructions slightly though, on item 3 you say to install it on either your storage card or main memory, but I believe when you install WP on your storage card it still keeps these files in main memory (with an unused copy on the storage card) so if you just replace the ones on the card there will be no change.
PS You may want to remove the files from your server which make your original patch work, since I am sure many people only check this site when there is a problem with WP, otherwise I am sure some people will be using your original fix for years.
